R+L Carriers Opens New Canadian Gateway
Wilmington, Ohio 10/21/2015 R+L Carriers announces the opening of their newest Canadian Gateway in Tacoma Washington to streamline business crossing the border through Vancouver, British Columbia with their Canadian partner Day & Ross Freight. This gateway will replace the existing gateway in Seattle WA in order to accommodate the substantial growth of standard LTL and Expedited shipping solutions to and from the Canadian marketplace as well as the regional growth in the Seattle and Tacoma markets.
The Tacoma Service Center is conveniently located off I-5 which encompasses a 36,000 sp. ft., secured facility with nearly 100 dock doors, and a 3,000 sp. ft. full Service Shop. The development of our Canadian product has continued to evolve over the past two years, so much it has required us to move it to a larger facility in Tacoma, Washington, said Greg Bronner, Vice President of Business Critical Solutions. This expansion allows us to better serve our customers and pave the way for the future Canadian growth expected over the next five years and beyond.
