R+L Carriers Recognized by Texas Department of Public Safety
3/30/2023 – La Feria, Texas – Texas DPS recognized R+L Carriers for assisting in their 2023 Texas Truck Challenge Competition. Coordination was spearheaded by the La Feria service center manager in the second year R+L has supported this event. It took place February 16 in Los Indios, Texas, at the Los Indios Border State Inspection Facility.
Overall, the Texas Truck Challenge Competition serves as a trial event for troopers and civilian inspectors to conduct Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations Level I inspections on commercial motor vehicles. Through simulated motor vehicle violations, personnel can experience scenarios they might encounter in the field.
For this year’s event, R+L Carriers loaned Texas DPS two tractor trailers for use in simulations. Additionally, R+L provided breakfast and beverages to personnel for the morning of the competition.
