Pallet Use or Return

When for Carriers convenience freight is prepared for shipment in conformity with packing requirements and in addition is loaded on pallets, platforms or skids, with or without standing sides or ends but without tops, no charge will be made for the transportation of the pallets, platforms or skids. The Carrier will not assume responsibility for the return of the pallets, platforms or skids, except in such cases when the Bill of Lading is properly noted. . . "(_____)Number of pallets used in connection with this shipment... Return thereof is hereby requested." When the above statement is on the Bill of Lading at time shipment is tendered to Carrier, return thereof will be at no charge to the Shipper. Return pallets must be tendered for return at time of delivery or subsequent delivery (special pickup for return pallets will not be provided). Quantity of pallets being returned must not exceed the number of pallets received on prior deliveries.
