Notification Prior to Delivery

1. When any shipment is tendered for delivery, with a request that the consignee be notified by any means whatsoever, a charge of $36.00 will be accessed; such charge to be in addition to all other lawful and legal charges, see Note A. 2. On prepaid shipments this charge is to be billed to the shipper and on collect shipments this is to be billed to the consignee. NOTE A: In connection with shipments to private residences, apartments, churches, schools, camps and other such locations, the provisions of this item will ONLY apply after the carrier has reached agreement with the consignee regarding the date and time (morning or afternoon) of delivery of the shipment and the carrier through the fault of the consignee is unable to effect delivery as scheduled.
